Now, let's get straight to the point. Why do you wanna for this buffet lunch:
First and foremost, unlike most of the Japanese buffet restaurants, you don't take food from the counter. You order from the menu. Yes, they have ala carte menu for the buffet
The food is fresh, and freshness is the key when you are having sashimi
The place is nice, cozy. Unlike others which are quite noisy
You can request for a room if you want, then you can do "your things privately"
The price is reasonable: RM 55++ for adult, RM 28++ for children. As compare with RM 88++ from other restaurants (you know where I'm saying). Of course Rakuzen doesn't offer Häagen-Dazs ice cream
Of course, given such a good deal, you need to make your reservation in advance. When I said in advance, it means at least a week before.
Got a special request from BehBeh for a list of recommended restaurants in KL. So, instead of replying her in Facebook, I've decided to put it at devilsheep.com (since I have not written any new entry for a while). Here goes.

Alright, this time I'm going to introduce something at a further place.
Seremban Seafood Village is famous for its crabs. You can definitely tell
from its signboard.
Look at the varieties of crab that they serve.
No use talking so much. Seremban Seafood Village (SSV) is famous for its BBQ
crab. Unlike the other BBQ crab that I have introduced before, BBQ crab from SSV
is cooked with its special sauce. MMmmm... sweet and juicy. A portion for 7
persons is around RM 165.
On top of the sauce on the crab, there's a Thai-alike sweet and sour sauce
for you to dip the crab.
Other than crab, they also serve other good seafood like this Lai Liu Ha (XXX
prawn).
Other good food are like claypot Lou Shu Fan and black pepper Udon.
Alright, haven't written any food review for a long time, and since it's
Chinese New Year, let me introduce something simple, cheap, but NICE~!
Roasted Duck for Chinese New Year
Roasted duck is one of the most popular dishes during Chinese New Year, and
Onn Kee at Taman Petaling, Kepong is definitely one of the best places to
get it.
Onn Kee at Taman Petaling Kepong
Look at the number of people queuing up for the duck. No other description is
required.
The meat for roasted duck is normally stiff, not easy to bite, but not those
from Onn Kee. The meat is really tender, and the skin is mmm mmm mmm crunchy.
And when you think roasted duck alone is boring, they serve good Char Siew
(BBQ pork) as well.
They have a variety of soups as well. Check out the cucumber soup.
Irresistible duck...
WeiWei ignores the camera....
The prices are quite reasonable. Ala carte with rice is around RM 4 to RM 5.
Whole duck is RM 40, half duck is RM 20.
Prices for soups are also reasonable. Each bowl is around RM 3 to RM 5,
except the coconut chicken soup which is RM 6.
I've been to Brunei twice. There's a place that I must visit, and trust me, if you ever visit Brunei, you must check this place out.
WARNING: What you are about to see are seriously delicious, reading this post will seriously make you hungry. If you decide to continue reading, please always be reminded that, what you are seeing cost only RM 33 after splitting the bill.
One thing you must do, is to visit Escapade Sushi Restaurant. They serve serious good Japanese food, really...
Look at the size of the salmon sashimi!!! They are really fresh... melt immediately in your mouth.
It has been a while since I visited Taipei in March. Missed the food? Hhhmm... Not really. Been telling everybody this: didn't really find Taiwan food as fantastic as how they describe it in the TV shows. Yeah, it's true. So if you are planning to visit Taiwan for the food, set your expectation right.
Anyway, checked out Fong Lye Taiwanese Restaurant the other day in The Gardens. Looks not bad from outside, kind of crowded too. It was just me and WeiWei, so couldn't order too many stuff.
As usual, these kind of restaurants normally serve funky funky colorful drinks, so we ordered the papaya milk and orange yougart. Not too expensive though. RM7.30 each.
The set meals were not bad too. Ordered the Fresh Tomato Fried Egg with Fish (name also very long). As you can see, there're quite a lot of stuff, including dessert too (the yellow thingy in the center is some creamy butter stuff 奶油卷).
It's actually not bad to go with rice, the fish was fresh. Just a bit too sweet after a while.
They serve the meal with a common rice with pork in Taiwan - Lu Rou Rice 鲁肉饭. You can find this kind of rice everywhere in Taiwan, like nasi lemak in Malaysia. The taste is not as strong as those you find in Taiwan. Maybe they have adjusted it a bit for Malaysian market.
WeiWei ordered a Spare Ribs Set.
It's something like KFC Hot & Spicy, replace the chicken with pork ribs deduct the spicy. Funny to go with rice actually.
Overall the food was OK. A bit pricey though. RM 19.80 per set meal, which comes to RM62.35 for 2 person including drinks.
Recommendation: Like in Taiwan, nothing really fantastic, but worth checking it out if you are there.
Yo yo yo, just discovered another 'must-try' restaurant. This time, it's an elephant! (actually WeiWei brought me there )
If you have been to those flat areas in Section 17 (PJ), you would know how old that area is. More than 20 years old? Anyway, those flats are OLD. Nobody would expect to find such a cool place there (see map here).
When I first got there, I was like 'woohh...', and I'm SERIOUS. The ambience of the restaurant is like Delicious in Bangsar Village. OK, not that nice, but not bad as well.
Well, it's a Thai restaurant. Too bad there were only 2 of us there, couldn't order a lot. Would definitely recommend to go with more people, then can order and try more food. We ordered a green curry chicken (RM 15) and a Thai vege tempura (RM 10). Food is nice, average price.
There's a comfi corner in the restaurant, so you can hang out with your friends even if you are not eating. Didn't see any wine on the menu though.
