Got a special request from BehBeh for a list of recommended restaurants in KL. So, instead of replying her in Facebook, I've decided to put it at devilsheep.com (since I have not written any new entry for a while). Here goes.

• Sugimoto Japanese Restaurant @ Sri Hartamas (Lunch and dinner)
  • Nice restaurant with nice food. Reasonable price. Good deal for lunch set.

• Rakuzen Japanese Restaurant @ anywhere (Lunch and dinner)
  • Wide variety of Japanese food, with good food as well.

• Hanazen Japanese Restaurant @ JayaOne, P.J. (Lunch and dinner)
  • Nice restaurant with nice food. Reasonable price.

• Leonardo's Dining Room @ Jalan Bangkung, Bangsar (Dinner)
  • Cozy dining area. Good pork chop and salmon.

• Caffeinees Cafe @ Ampang (Breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper)
  • Small cozy cafe, serving good coffee and cakes, and of course other cuisines as well.

• Nong and Jimmy Thai BBQ Restaurant @ Cheras (Dinner)
  • Serves nice localized Thai food. BBQ crab is a must try.

• Onn Kee Roasted Duck @ Kepong (Lunch)
  • Ducks are freshly roasted with crispy duck skin. Serves also nice BBQ pork and roasted pork.

• My Elephant Thai Restaurant @ SS17, P.J. (Dinner)
  • Small cozy Thai restaurant at a place you could never imagine. Serve simple, cheap yet good Thai food. Limited seats, so better reserve before you go.

• Pasta Zanmai @ 1-Utama (Lunch and dinner)
  • You can tell from the name. Fusion Japanese restaurant which cooks pasta in Japanese ways.

• Ka Ka Bak Kut Teh @ Kepong (Dinner and Supper)
  • Famous Bak Kut Teh in Kepong. Always packed with people.

• Bisou Cupcake House @ Asian Heritage Road (Dinner and Supper)
  • Nice and cute little cupcake house in between wild and crazy pubs.

• Essence @ Sheraton Imperial Hotel (Dinner)
  • Simple buffet dinner served with fresh sashimi, oyster and umm umm, free flow of red and white wine.

• Paddington Pancake House @ The Curve (Lunch and Dinner)
  • Like sweet stuff, this is the place to be. Everything about pancakes.

Alright, these are all that I could think of for now. Will update the list if I have time (you know what I mean).

totally agree minmin 2009-05-11 09:33:40 More than 80% of the above restaurants mentioned I've been & I have the same view as you. It's good & worth going. But Essence is a little pricy!! ;-)
